Obituary of Leon “Lynn” Harrison Carr

Mr. Leon Harrison “Lynn” Carr, age 76 of Hartsville, TN passed away suddenly Sunday, October 27, 2019.

​He leaves a loving family to be with his Loving Father and Savior.  Leon was retired from the TN Army National Guard.  He was a 60 year member of Fairview Missionary Baptist Church where he served as Deacon.  

​Leon was preceded in death by his parents, AW “Joe Ben” and Gerald Jones Carr.

​He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Betty Carol Sullivan Carr;  Son, David Lynn (Megan) Carr-Richmond, KY;  Grandsons, London & Keaton Carr;  Brothers, Freddie Carr-Hartsville, TN, Jerry Carr-Bethpage, TN, Raymond Carr-Lafayette, TN and David Thomas (Janet) Carr-Lafayette, TN and Sisters, Faye Troutt-Lafayette, TN, Brenda (Steve) Robertson-Lafayette, TN, Patsy (Kenneth) Bennett-Smith Co., TN and Kathy (Doyle) Hawkins-Lafayette, TN.

​Leon loved life.  He was a man of simple pleasures and a simple, but strong faith.  He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman.  From traveling and hiking to just working around the house and farm, he was normally outside.  He was a very giving person and was always available to help anyone with any kind of need.  He loved to laugh and joke around.  He was always drawn to kids and they seemed to love his smiles and attention.  He will be missed terribly by all those who love him.

​Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Anthony Funeral Home at 1 PM Wednesday, October 30, 2019 conducted by Bro. Jerry Watson and Bro. Anthony Hale. 

​Interment will be in the Green Grove Cemetery with Military Honors.

​Visitation with the family will be from 2 to 8 PM Tuesday and 10 AM until service time Wednesday.

​In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fairview Missionary Baptist Church.
