I've known and loved this man for at least 60 years He and his precious family were a big part of my growing-up years ~ he always seemed like a much loved uncle. He always brought me cantaloupes, and they were always good!. Even though I haven't seen him lately, my heart is mourning. We love you, Annie, Paul and family...

Oh how I love Mr. Gentry. He and my Dad were great friends and so competitive when it came to raising watermelons. To watch those two go back and forth was a true blessing....each trying to outwit the other, and I had a front row seat.
I would see Mr. Gentry often while working @ Suggs Creek store. One day when he came in, he noticed I had bronchitis. He left and returned with his "special recipe." WOW....did it ever work.
I just know that Daddy and Mr. Gentry are in Heaven going toe to toe again. I'm sure Daddy is feeling superior since he has been in Heaven, 10 years as of April 14, 2015. To know they were both called Home on April 14, WOW!
My love, appreciation, and prayers goes to the Gentry Family. What a great Daddy ~Great/Grand.

Have many wonderful memories of this good man and his family. My dad and he were great friends and always trying to out-do the other in growing the hottest hot peppers in the community. Neither would admit the other may have won the bet. This family has interacted with ours in too many ways to mention here, but it is safe to say this man will be missed by all who were privileged to know and be around him. Our sincerest condolences and love to Anne, Paul, and all the family. John and Helen Begarly
