Obituary of Mary Florence Lee Pyland

Mary Florence Lee Pyland, age 96 of Gallatin, passed away Monday January 25, 2016. Funeral Service will be Saturday January 30th at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Bro. Darrell Duncan officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memory Gardens, with Kirk Withers, Kyle Withers, Phillip Thurman, Jeremy Collier, Tommy Ryan, and Jimmy Shrum serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Friday January 29th from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m., and Saturday January 30th from 12:00 noon until time of service. Mrs. Pyland was born January 28, 1919, in Stewart County to the late Allen Thurman Lee and Maggie Crain Lee. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Thomas Bert Pyland, Jr.; daughters, Sara Margaret Thurman, and Pamela Lee Pyland Craig; son, Thomas Allen Pyland; and granddaughter, Shari Collier. She is survived by daughters, Linda Sue Kane of Gallatin, and Jeanie Hesson (Ken) of Hendersonville; son-in-law, Charles Thurman of Gallatin; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.
