Obituary of Virginia May Shrum

Virginia May Shrum age 83 of Bethpage, passed away Monday February 1, 2016. Funeral Service will be Thursday February 4th at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home, with Rev. Michael Shrum and Bro. Jacob Sullivan officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, with Vince White, Bobby Sullivan, Johnny Sullivan, Dakota Shrum, Kevin Spears, and Tim Shrum serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Wednesday February 3rd from 2:00 pm until 8:00 p.m., and Thursday February 4th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Mrs. Shrum was born June 8, 1932 in Bethpage to the late Tom Sullivan and Mabel Erline Carter Sullivan. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, W.T. Shrum; brothers, Buck Sullivan, and Robert Sullivan; and sisters, Peggy Agee, and Betty Sue Sullivan. She is survived by sons, Jerry Shrum (Debbie) of Bethpage, and Danny Shrum (Shirley) of Bethpage; daughter Brenda Spears (William) of Castalian Springs; brother, Levie Sullivan (Judy) of Gallatin; sisters, Polly Ann Pedigo (Jake) of Pulaski, and Blondie Sullivan of Bethpage; 9 grandchildren, Tim Shrum, Terrie White (Vince), Christy Eden, Jessica Shrum, Melissa Shrum, Emily Shrum (Loretta McNamee), Jennifer Rigsby (Scott), Crystal Stafford, and Kevin Spears; and 12 great grandchildren.
