Obituary of Matthew Vernon White Spain

Matt Spain, age 27, of Lebanon, passed away on February 27, 2016. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN, on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the service. The Funeral Service, conducted by Elder Ricky Hall and Elder Benny Maggart, is at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2016 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home. Interment in Fairview Cemetery will follow the service. He is survived by his wife Kaitlin Batey Spain; children: Aubree Spain, Elijah Spain, Londyn Spain, and Kannon Weldy; mother Pam (Robert) Carter; father: Terry (Kelly) Spain; siblings: Leslie (Jamie) Hill, Mitch (Kirsten) Spain, Jason (Tiffany) Reed, Matthew Carter, Stephen Carter, Kristen Carter, Montana Word, and Bode Word; Grandparents PeeWee (Juanita) Carter and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. Matt was a member at Fall Creek Baptist Church where he was saved and baptized as a teenager. He worked as a landscaper. Matt loved playing with his children and spending time with his wife. He also loved the Tennessee Vols, sports, and animals. Pallbearers: Mitch Spain, Jason Reed, Jamie Hill, Bailey Hill, Josh Vantrease, Jimmy Neal, Don Jones, and Charlie Carter. Honorary Pallbearers: Bill Tenny, Mark Ellins, Joseph Wood, Sonny Warmath, Scotty Rich, and Laura Dougherty.
