Obituary of Julia Swindle

Julia Coley Swindle, was born on October 13, 1947, in Lafayette, Tennessee, to the late Clarence Estel Coley and Ruby Orvelle Cothron Coley. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Burrow and an infant brother. Julia was saved at home around the age of sixteen and was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. She was a long time employee of Citizens Bank and retired in 1998 after twenty-five years of service. Julia enjoyed being outdoors. When she retired from the bank she started working full time on the family farm. She spent most days working alongside Dewey. She liked going to the lake to relax, but Julia just really loved working and being at home on the farm. She also loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. On Monday, September 12, 2016, at the age of sixty-eight years, ten months, and thirty days, The Lord called Julia home. We know from her testimony of salvation that she is rejoicing with her Lord and Savior in that Heavenly Country. Julia is survived by; Husband, Dewey Swindle; Daughter, Stacy Carter and husband, Jim; Son, Tony Swindle and wife, Angie; Grandchildren, Rebecca White and husband Wesley, Sarah Carter, Laura Carter, and Makenzie Swindle. Great Grandson, Oliver Marcus White also survives. Funeral services for Julia Swindle were conducted on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at 2 pm, from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Brother Jim Carter officiating. Interment followed in the Macon County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were; Jeff Burrow, Troy Burrow, Channing Swindle, Brian Swindle, Hazel Goodman, Johnny Woosley, Glyn Coley, and Wes White. Honorary Pallbearers were; Charlie Darnell and Gary Law.
