Obituary of Suzanne Lee Duke

DUKE, Suzanne Lee, age 45 of Mt. Juliet, passed away October 20, 2016. Suzanne was born November 6, 1970 in Corvallis, Oregon. She was the daughter of Shelby and Lou Ann Price. She was raised in Talent, Oregon and was a graduate of South Medford High School, Class of 1989. She later attended Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN. She received her Bachelor Degree in Business Mgmt. and Human Relations. Suzanne showed a gifted voice at the early age of three. At fourteen Suzanne started her professional singing career. She opened for Rich Little, the prize for winning a state-wide competition. In college she was trained in the classical tradition only to jump into Country music at age twenty. Now as Suzanne Lee Price, her career would take her around the world singing for the armed forces at US military bases, USO installations and later with national acts. She was united in marriage to Robert (Bob) N Duke on August 12, 2000 in Talent Oregon. Following their wedding, they moved to the Mt. Juliet community, where they have lived since. Suzanne cherished being Mother to her three beautiful children. She also enjoyed music and cooking. She especially loved to bake and make treats for everyone, including making her own wedding cake. She is survived by her husband, Bob; sons, Shelby and Brody; daughter, Sadie; parents Shelby and Lou Ann Price; her two sisters Jennifer Price, Kathryn Bernstein and Brother-in-law Lloyd Bernstein; her Grandmother, Violet Sauers; sister-in-law, Judy(Larry) Hoffman; nieces, Anna and Shayna Bernstein; nephews, Jake Price and Noah Bernstein. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, October 25th at 4 pm. Visitation will be Monday, October 24th from 4-8 pm and Tuesday 2 pm until time of service. Interment will be at a later date in Oregon. Contributions can be made toward her children’s Education Fund.
