Obituary of Tilford E. Greogry

Tilford E. Gregory was born on April 18, 1933, in Lafayette, Tennessee, to the late Raymond Clarnet Gregory and Gracie Opal Gregory. He was one of four children born to this union. Along with his parents, Tilford was also preceded in death by his brother, R.C. Gregory, and sister, Dorothy Lee Dickens. Tilford had been saved by the good Lord’s grace and was a member of the Sycamore Valley Missionary Baptist Church. He was a farmer and raised tobacco, corn, soybeans, and cattle. Tilford had also been a truck driver, hauling tobacco and cattle for several years. Tilford enjoyed driving his tractors but his true love was riding horses. On Saturday, October 8, 2016, at the age of eighty-three years, five months, and twenty days, Tilford was called to his Heavenly Home. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Mr. Tilford Gregory is survived by; Daughters, Connie Green, Deborah Wooten and husband Ricky, Vickie Gregory, Beverly Gregory, and Teresa Hudson and husband Paul; Sons, Kerry Gregory, Barry Gregory, Jimmy Gregory, and Stanley Russell; and Sister, Anna Wilson; Thirteen Grandchildren and Twelve Great-Grandchildren also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Tilford E. Gregory were conducted on Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at 1pm from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Dean Sircy officiating. Interment followed in the Macon County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were; Danny Jo Gregory, Keith Carter, David Stinson, David Dyer, Kenny Jones, and Kelvin Gregory.
