Obituary of Lester A. Bray

Lester A. Bray, age 75 of Bethpage, passed away Wednesday January 25, 2017. Funeral Service will be Monday January 30th at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Bro. Tim Williams officiating. Visitation will be Sunday January 29th from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Monday January 30th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service. Interment will follow at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with Raymond Bray, Leland Bray, Darrin Akins, Paul Bowman, Reuben Bowman, Jr, and Shane Roberson serving as pallbearers. Mr. Bray was born January 12, 1942 in Macon County to the late, William Odell Bray and Maggie Elizabeth Brooks Bray. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Wilma Jean Bray; brothers, James Bray, Raymond Bray, and Jerry Bray; and sisters, Pauline Kirby, Geneva Whittle, and Jeraldine Creswell. He is survived by son, Tracy Bray (Samantha) of Westmoreland; daughters, Melissa Bray (Robert Roberson) of Bethpage and Christy Akins (Jamie) of Bethpage; sisters, Faye Marsh (DeWayne) of Fountain Run, KY and Rose Oldham of Hartsville; sister-in-law, Ruth Bray of Gallatin; 4 grandchildren, Raymond Bray, Darrin Akins, Paige Akins, and Leland Bray; and one great grandchild, Peyton Akins.
