Obituary of Verne C. Cobb, Jr.

Verne C. Cobb, Jr., age 77 of Portland, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017.  Funeral Service will be Monday, July 3rd at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Bro. Jerry Peace officiating.  Visitation will be Monday, July 3rd from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.  Interment will follow at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Mr. Cobb was born May 19, 1940 in Detroit, MI, to the late Verne C. Cobb, Sr. and Laura Young Cobb.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Claudine Williamson Cobb; daughters, Rebecca Mason and Sandra Parker; and brother, Fred Cobb.  He is survived by sons, Luther C. Cobb (Cindy) of Birmingham, AL and Harold “Cricket” Isabell of Gallatin; daughter, Debbie Didonato (Randy) of Goodlettsville; son-in-law, Russell Parker of Portland; sisters, Donna Hall (Roger) of Michigan and Laura Wylie of Texas; 8 grandchildren, Brittany Granito (Larry), Stacey Massingale (Chad), Cody Isabell, Ashley Blake, Dakota Cobb, Tamera Combs (Anthony), Wayne Todd, Jr., and Trevor Worley; and 13 great grandchildren.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.  Family Heritage Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
