Obituary of Georgia Haynes Smith

Georgia Haynes Smith, age 92 of Gallatin passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017.  Funeral Service will be Tuesday, December 19^th at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home (100 Albert Gallatin Avenue), with Bro. Julius Hovan officiating.  Visitation will be Tuesday, December 19^th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will follow at Crestview Memory Gardens, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. 

Mrs. Smith was born March 4, 1925 in Sumner County to the late Edd Haynes and Launa Harper Haynes.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Dee Smith; brother, Edd Haynes, Jr.; and sister, Lillian Knott.  She is survived by daughter, Barbara Smith of Brentwood; brothers, Maddin Haynes of Portland and Robert Haynes (Peggy) of Hendersonville; and sister, Linda Wells (Bennie Frank) of Castalian Springs.  Mrs. Smith worked at General Shoe as a plant nurse.  She also was a nurse at Sumner Regional Medical Center.  Online condolences may be submitted at alexanderheritagefh.com.  Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
