Obituary of Loretta Jean Denney

Loretta Jean Denney, age 80 of Portland, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017.  Funeral Service will be Saturday, December 23^rd at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home (100 Albert Gallatin Avenue).  Visitation will be Saturday, December 23^rd from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Bush’s Chapel Cemetery, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Denney was born September 11, 1937 in Davidson County to the late Halem Presley and Mary Jane Carter.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, George H. Denney; 1 grandson; 3 brothers; and 2 sisters.  She is survived by daughters, Janice Woodward of Portland, Connie Denney of Portland, and Debbie Brown (Ricky) of Oak Grove; sons, Wayne Denney of Nashville, Jeff Denney (Sally) of Portland, and Sherman Denney of Portland; 10 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.  Online condolences may be submitted at alexanderheritagefh.com.  Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
