David Patterson Wofford, age 62 of Gallatin, passed away Friday, April 27, 2018. Funeral Service will be Monday, April 30th at 12:00 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home (100 Albert Gallatin Avenue), with Bro. Jerry Peace officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, April 29th from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Monday, April 30th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Crestview Memory Gardens, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Mr. Wofford was born July 3, 1955 in Gallatin to the late Ham Wofford and Josephine Dyer Cogdell Wofford. He is survived by his loving and loyal wife of 24 years, Kelly Wofford of Gallatin; son, Matthew Crawford (Brittany Gravitt) of Lebanon; brother, Jerrie L. Cogdell of Gallatin; sister, Doris C. Yoder (Efird) of Coppers Cove, TX; 2 grandchildren, Ryan Tyler Crawford and Emma Grace Crawford; his beloved pet, Jack; and numerous nieces and nephews. David had a very social, outgoing personality; he loved to joke and “cut up” with people and was an avid animal lover. He enjoyed fishing for crappie and catfish in his boat, camping in his 5th wheel, and motorcycling. Mr. Wofford worked for Gallatin Walmart for 27 years in the garden center and as an assembler.
