Obituary of Janet Marie Boyd

Janet Marie Boyd of Hendersonville, TN, age 50, passed away on Sunday, June 3rd, 2018 of natural causes. She was born on May 18th, 1968 in Welch, West Virginia to Howard Boyd Sr. and Evelyn (Baker) Boyd. Janet obtained a Master’s Degree in Theology and was a Payroll & Benefits Manager at the Nashville Rescue Mission. She cared deeply about helping the community and her work began when joining the Zeta Phi Beta sorority in 1991. She later became the West Virginia State Director of Zeta Phi Beta where she was very active in serving her sorority. Janet has always had the biggest heart and lived to help others any way she could. She always lived by Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

Janet is survived by son, Jaron Boyd; daughter, Juaquaetta Boyd; daughter in law, Jennifer Boyd; 3 grandchildren, Kayley, Ariya, and Adalynn Boyd; mother, Evelyn Boyd; brother, Howard Boyd Jr.; sister, Stephanie Boyd; and niece, Brandi Boyd. Spending time with family meant the world to her.
