Obituary of Jennie Ray Mofield Williams

Jennie Ray Mofield Williams, age 83 of Gallatin, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018.  Funeral Service will be Saturday, July 21st at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home (100 Albert Gallatin Avenue), with Bro. Todd Alexander officiating.  Visitation will be Saturday, July 21st from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 4:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with family serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Williams was born December 19, 1934 in Lebanon, TN to the late Murphey Mofield and Donnie Ray O’Neal Mofield.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Eric Victor Williams; daughter, Carol Lackey Moon; grandson, Tim Dawe; brother, Marion Mofield; and sister, Alean Wiggins.  She is survived by son, Mark Lackey (Kim Hendrickson)  of Gallatin; stepson, Jim Williams (Lona) of Nestleton, Canada; stepdaughter, Kathleen Dawe (Ray) of Bobcaygeon, Canada; sister, Melinda Hill (Jerry) of Lebanon; long-time friend, Ruth Bray; 5 grandchildren, Hunter Lackey, Steven Moon (Karen), Julie Williams, Glenn Williams, and Andy Dawe; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Williams was a member of House of Grace Church in Gallatin.  Her passion was knitting baby blankets for premature babies at Hendersonville Hospital.  She will be sadly missed be friends and family.  Online condolences may be submitted at alexanderheritagefh.com.  Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
