Richard P. McGraw, age 73 of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, passed away peacefully October 23rd, 2018. The Celebration of Life Service conducted by Pastor Kyle Sullivan will be Saturday, November 3rd, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home in Mt. Juliet. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 3rd from 1:00 p.m. until the service begins at 2:00 p.m.
Mr. McGraw worked in special risks underwriting and computer programming for 40+ years. He had many special interests which included carpentry, photography, and astronomy. He also enjoyed being a dance teacher, a violinist, an electrician, a radiotelephone operator, and an instrument -rated private pilot. Mr. McGraw loved to volunteer and was a dedicated volunteer with The American Red Cross for several years. In more recent years, he found a new joy in running marathons.
He is survived by loving wife of 50 years, Patricia Ann McGraw; daughter, Jennifer Ann Mathis and son – in – law, Robert Mathis; granddaughter, Sarah Ann Mathis; sisters, Carol Zacharek and Cindy McGraw. He was preceded in death by parents, George Richard and Beatrice Cora McGraw.
