Obituary of Alan Carter Burroughs

Alan Carter Burroughs, age 56 of Bethpage, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019.  Funeral Service will be Monday, January 28^th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Bro. Tim Abshire officiating.  Visitation will be Sunday, January 27^th from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Monday, January 28^th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will follow at Bethpage Lower Cemetery, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Mr. Burroughs was born October 16, 1962 in Gallatin.  He is preceded in death by mother, Betty Carter Burroughs; and wife Melissa Ann Burroughs.  He is survived by father, Billy Burroughs of Bethpage; step son, Chris McMurtry (Anna) of Murfreesboro; sisters, Ann Lauderdale of Bethpage and Amanda Jensen (Mike) of Portland; niece, Jessica Sims (Rick); nephew, Dalton Jensen; and 2 step grandchildren.  Mr. Burroughs was a deacon at Grace Baptist Church in Bethpage.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.  Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
