Obituary of Mickie Faye Reed

Mickie Faye Reed, nee Fitzpatrick, age 70, of Gallatin, TN, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019 in Stuart, FL.

Funeral service will be Saturday, March 16^th at 4:00 p.m., with Minister Stephen Russell of Old Union Church of Christ officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, March 16^th from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at 4:00 p.m.  Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored to assist with arrangements.

Mickie was born in Memphis, TN to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Earl Fitzpatrick on August 10, 1948. She went to Gallatin High School and graduated in 1966. She went on to earn a degree in English and Music from Tennessee Technological University. She worked as a grammar and high school teacher for various schools for a number of years. She enjoyed singing, traveling, being by the water, Mahjong, and spending time with her family.

Mickie is survived by her husband of 45 years, Gene L. Reed, Jr. of Gallatin, TN; her mother, Lucille Fitzpatrick, nee Reddick of Gallatin, TN; her son, Patrick E. Reed, his wife, Whitney H. Reed, and their two sons, Mickie’s grandsons, Logan and Lucas of Destrehan, LA; and her daughter, Megan R. Reed of New Orleans, LA.   She is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Earl Fitzpatrick, Jr. and her brother, Joseph Earl Fitzpatrick, III.
