Obituary of Dustin Lee Clemons

Dustin Lee Clemons passed away unexpectedly in his home on April 28th  in Nashville, TN. Dustin is survived by his parents, Kevin Clemons of Murfreesboro, TN and Linda Clemons of Nashville, TN; his three kind-hearted children, Courtney Clemons (Mother, Kayla Banks Young ), Maliah Clemons, and Breah Clemons (Mother, Leeza Gilmore); his siblings, Joseph Clemons of Nashville, TN and Kailin Clemons of Murfreesboro, TN; and his grandmothers, Jean Clemons of Carthage, TN and Amelia Hubbard Smith of Lebanon, TN. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Larry Hubbard of Lebanon, TN and Dean Clemons of Lebanon, TN.

Dustin was born on June 27th 1985 in Lebanon, TN to Kevin and Linda Clemons. He was raised in Lebanon and Murfreesboro, and throughout his youth, he was chiefly known as “the friend you can call if you’re in need.” He loved to fish, a skill he learned from his Grandpa Hubbard, and he applied the patience and perseverance of fishing to everything in his life. In addition to being one of the most dedicated and hardworking people one could ever have the pleasure of meeting, Dustin was perhaps best known to his family and dearest friends as a dependable man. Regardless of the situation or circumstance, he devoted himself, completely, to the people he loved.

In many ways, Dustin was a classic introvert, but he also possessed keen insight and a playful wit. He loved his children more than anything, and he worked tirelessly to ensure that they could enjoy the futures they deserve. Shortly before his passing, Dustin began attending Crosspoint of Mt. Juliet, and this past Easter, he dedicated his life to Christ with the same kind of devotion and zeal he regularly displayed in his interpersonal relationships. No amount of words can accurately express the kindness, fierce loyalty, dedication, and judicious nature Dustin bestowed upon his loved ones. He will be missed, but the impact of his goodness will be felt forever. A funeral is scheduled for May 2nd, 2019 at 2 PM at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon, TN. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Dustin’s life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made towards Courtney, Maliah, and Breah’s futures. Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN, 615.444.9393.
