Obituary of Cheryl A. Smith

Cheryl Anne Smith (Bohannon) 61 years old went home to be with God on June 6th 2019 following a 4 year courageous and graceful battle with cancer. She was surrounded by family at home during her passing into Glory.  She was a beloved member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Lebanon TN. She loved singing in choir and working with children in Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She served as president of the Women Missionary Union (WMU), as well as a member of the Gideon Auxiliary: she served as president and vice president.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years marriage David Smith, daughter Sarah Smith, son and daughter-in-law Andrew and Caroline Smith granddaughter Hannah Belle Smith of Lewisburg, sister and brother-in-law Karen and Bryan Williams of Faber VA., brother and sister in law, Steve and Margo Bohannon of Pensacola FL, sister and brother-in-law Diane and Richard Taylor, brother Bob Bohannon, sister and brother-in-law Patti and Steve Pelton of MI., along with multiple nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN, on Saturday from noon until 5 p.m. The Celebration of Life is Sunday, June 9, 2019 at 2:30 p.m., Immanuel Baptist Church. Visitation at the church on Sunday will be from 1 p.m. until the service.  In lieu of flowers, please make Memorial Donations to the Immanuel Building Fund (214 Castle Heights Ave, Lebanon TN 37087), the American Cancer Society (2000 Charlotte Ave, Nashville TN 37203), Gideons (866.382.4253, www.gideons.org), or your favorite charity in her name.
