Obituary of Judy Simpson Anderson

Judy Simpson Anderson, 76, of Gallatin, TN, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2019.  A memorial service will be held at Family Heritage Funeral Home in Gallatin at 3:00 PM on Sunday, September 8, 2019, with visitation from 1:00 to 3:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to HighPoint Hospice at Sumner Regional Medical Center, 300 Steam Plant Road, Suite 220, Gallatin, TN  37066 or Safe Place for Animals in Gallatin, 905 Mallard Drive, Gallatin, TN  37066.

Mrs. Anderson was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Raymond Bryant Simpson and the former Angeline Josephine Patla who later resided in Bransford and Bethpage.  Judy was a long-time educator, teaching 5th and 6th grades at both Bethpage Elementary and North Sumner Elementary until her retirement.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 43 years, John Walter Anderson.  She is survived by daughters, Gretchen Hall (Brian) of Goodlettsville, Rebecca Chitwood (David) of Gallatin, and Carla Faro of Portland; brothers, Alan Simpson (Patricia) of Gallatin and Phillip Simpson (Mary) of Gallatin; sister, Christine Gregory (Steve) of Nashville; and grandchildren Eric Hall, Maria Faro, Carmen McCloud (Seth), and Anthony Faro.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.  Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
