Obituary of Bob Stevenson III

Bob Stevenson of Lebanon, TN passed away peacefully on October 27, 2019 at age 76.         He was born January 22, 1943 in Oakland, CA. On June 18, 1977, he married Marla A. Doak in San Leandro, CA. Mr. Stevenson moved to Lebanon, TN in 2002 to retire on Old Hickory Lake.

Mr. Stevenson was a retired transmission mechanic and a wonderful storyteller who loved fishing, hunting, camping, travel, mining for gold and gardening. He also was an animal lover who enjoyed woodcarving in his spare time. In California, he was a member of the Moose Club and the Lions Club.

Mr. Stevenson is survived by wife Marla A. Stevenson, children Robert Stevenson IV of San Francisco, CA; Sean (Chris) Stevenson of Grass Valley, CA; Steve (Julie) Stevenson of Auburn, CA; Scott Stevenson of Bend OR; and Melissa (Justin) Schipper of Hendersonville, TN; sister Linda J. (Mark) Mills of Castro Valley, CA; 11 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by father Robert Stevenson II and mother Helen Coombs Lazar.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of Tennessee Oncology, Vanderbilt Hospital, Skyline Medical Center, Quality Center for Rehabilitation and Healing, Avalon Hospice and the many neighbors and friends that provided care and assistance.

Service and Celebration of Life will be held lakeside at his home.
