Obituary of Cherlyn Joy Auger

Cherlyn Joy (Salerno) Auger, recently from Watertown, Tennessee, passed away Friday November 8, 2019, at the age of 67 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family.  Cherlyn was born May 28, 1952 in North Adams, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Joseph and Pearl Salerno. Cherlyn is survived by her husband of 29 years Edward “Bud” Auger, daughter Currie Marie Carbonelon and son Chad Murray Blake. Mrs. Auger was also survived by stepmother Sherry Salerno and five siblings, Joseph Salerno, Karen Winther, Robert Salerno, and Michael and Elizabeth Salerno. She has three surviving grandchildren Dominique, Dylan and Gabrielle Carbonel.

Cherlyn graduated from Drury High School, North Adams MA, in 1972.  Mrs. Auger's first love was working as a preschool teacher of children with special needs.  Later, Cherlyn retired as a special education teacher and caregiver. Additionally, she volunteered her time at the Joy International Christian Center, in Lebanon Tennessee. Cherlyn enjoyed cooking, sewing, quilting, crafting and gardening.

Cherlyn was a loving wife and devoted mother to her children, a dedicated grandmother, and shared heartfelt memories with her family and friends. She modeled strong Christian morals, values, and standards to her family.  

Throughout her lifetime, she impacted many people with the love she shared with them.  Her memory will live on forever in the lives of people she touched and those who loved her dearly.
