I didn't know him or his family. I am from Yarmouth Nova Scotia where we lost a 4 year old little girl who was run over after falling off a float then run over as well. I am grieving the loss of your Rowan, though, I'd never met him quite formally. I was a schoolmate of Hudson's. I remember on Halloween, seeing Hudson walk Rowan around to collect candy and seeing the look of pure joy on Rowan's face. I could tell he was such an incredible person to be around. You may not know me well, but we live just down the street from you all, and we are always here for you, as we know you must be going through so much hardship right now, having lost Rowan. God just couldn't wait to be with him. He must have been such an amazing little man. God bless your family.

In this great time of sorrow, we offer our deepest sympathies to you all and know that your beautiful child, Rowan, was such a vibrant part of not only our family, but of the entire TN VooDoo Kings family. His was the face I looked for at every function, watching him interact with all of us was pure joy. That boy brought a smile to so many people....as I was looking at all the pictures of Rowan that have been shared in the past few days, I have smiled as much as I have cried. I will miss hearing him ask me "where is Yankee Jon" as I so often heard at our functions. I will miss his bright, infectious smile. I will miss watching him grow into a "car guy", like his dad and Hudson. Mostly I will just miss having him around! My heart is broken and in so much pain for all of you and I hope that there will eventually be peace in your hearts and the pain dims somewhat so you may cherish the beautiful memories of your little angel. We remember Rowan in this little blue suit when we went to dinner to celebrate his Vanhoven grandparents 50th Anniversary. He was so proud of his suit...it had been his Fathers when he was his age!
