Obituary of Raymond Edward Augenstine

Raymond Edward Augenstine, age 90 of Bethpage, passed away Friday, December 27, 2019. Funeral Service will be Monday, December 30th at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Bro. Tim Brown officiating. Visitation will be Monday, December 30th from 3:00 p.m. until time of service at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Gideons International, Sumner/East Macon Camp, P.O. Box 851, Gallatin, TN 37066. Mr. Augenstine was born February 6, 1929 in Griffith, Indiana to the late Donald H. Augenstine and Edna May Green Augenstine. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Evelyn Louise Augenstine. He is survived by children, Dianne Lynn Hixon (George) of Castalian Springs, Dale Edward Augenstine of Bethpage, Charlene Rae Cigler (Paul) of Bethpage, Bradley Alan Augenstine of Bethpage, and Kathleen Renee Walters (David) of Hendersonville; brothers, Donald C. Augenstine of Washington and Edwin D. Augenstine (Rhonda) of Indiana; 8 grandchildren, Danelle Powers, Michael Augenstine, Hayley Carter, James Reel (Lynn), Derek Hixon (Andrea), Kara Brown ((Justin), Joshua Walters, and Kaitlin Kirk (Andrew); 15 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. He served his country in the United States Army, and was awarded the World War II Victory Metal. He was a long-time member of the Gideons International.
