Over our long history of friendship, I have numerous stories that I could relate describing his genuine characteristics and his love for history, collection of antiques, readiness to help his friends, whatever their needs maybe. My sympathy goes out to all his many friends and family, especially wife Jean and their sons, Richard & Joe. Nathan will be sorely missed by all.
I am so, so very sorry to hear about Nathan’s passing. I am praying so much for Jean and their family and friends. My dad, Robert Manning, is a good friend of Nathan & Jean’s. I remember visiting them along with my dad on multiple occasions. What a loving, friendly couple. Thank you so much for your friendship with my dad.
Much love and prayers,
Laura Stiles
Nathan always encouraged me and thanked me for my work to promote area history and to preserve the architectural heritage of neighborhoods, despite the fact this is my adopted hometown. He was fascinating to talk to. I will miss his friendly smile. —Donna Hartley Lucas
I LOVED assisting him at Lowe's. He would make his purchase on his Lowe's card, then write a check 2 pay it off. right there. He was quite the character. My prayers are with The Family & Friends. May he RIP.
Our deepest sympathy to Jean and the Family in the loss of Nathan. He had so very many friends and he surely will be missed. We enjoyed him coming to the Country Kitchen to eat and coming to the Karoke jams. Lots of good Memories. God Bless each of You. Ruth, Jay, Tracy and JoAnn Wright
I've known Nathan Harsh, almost since I moved to Gallatin, over 30 years ago. We shared an interest in politics, even though we were generally on opposite sides. Whenever I ran for office, he graciously allowed me to put up signs on his property, telling me that I was the firs Republican he allowed to do it. When I had a young man from Kazakhstan stay with me for 2 weeks, Nathan treated him like family and was very cordial, gracious, and generous with him. Nathan will be missed by many of us.
