Gathering of Friends
Photos
RIP Scotty, you will truly be missed my brother!
First photo was when Wade ran out of dip when we were in Iceland, where they dont sell dip. Scotty bought a log and hide it in the next plane that was coming out to deliver us parts. Second photo was taken while pregaming for the command holiday party in Sicily, Italy.
Scotty was an amazing friend of ours. He was always there when we needed him day or night. We were roommates for a short period of time. We went to bike week in Daytona together. I always bugged him to find a girl but he was too busy looking for his next trade deal. He always wanted to be a millionaire. He was always calling my husband to tell him his next money making idea. Scotty loves his family so much. His rental was full of painted photos made by family. He took down the letter in a bottle painting and proudly showed everyone the penis inside and loved to talk about the alien photos as well. He would laugh so hard when he said “crying onion”. I remember him buying strawberry donuts from Winn Dixie & using a water bottle to take the yolks out of eggs. This guy used to throw pieces of raw chicken out of his kitchen window for the cats to eat out of his yard. You can’t make this up! He would go from old country music to Kevin Gates. Don’t even get me started on when he would rent a Uhaul! That was a middle of the night “let’s go do donuts” type of deal. I think he got charged for those tires. This is such a loss. Scotty had so much to offer the world and he absolutely loved life. He also loved his trucks and snap on. I really can’t believe this. So sad. We have endless memories of late nights drinking with friends. My thoughts are with his family. We are here for you.
Condolences to you all. He was a great friend and will be missed dearly. The picture here is him and I getting some food while in the Philippines during our last deployment. Personally, I was really looking forward to seeing him when back home. He had big plans to move down to Florida for school. We were going to be living not far from each other and taking the same class schedule. We bonded over many of similar interests such as cars and weightlifting. He was good at almost anything he put his mind to. He left a great impression on me, and was one of the hardest working electricians I have met. It was always great to watch him and the other electricians be competitive in the shop. As a technician I had the great opportunity to kick my feet up and watch as Jake, Spencer, and him competed over the goofiest of things. I'm sorry a lot of us won't be able to make it to Tennessee as we are currently overseas. Just know he is greatly missed by many of us still at VP-45.
Scotty was loved an highly thought of by my family as he and my daughter knew each other from a very young age and even had the middle school “datin” goin on! I’m so sorry for the loss of such a great young man! He served our country as a true hero! Fly high sweetheart! My condolences to all friends and family of the awesome young man!
