Obituary of James Wilson Sturdivant Sr

James Wilson Sturdivant, Sr. “Papaw”, age 70 of Gallatin, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2020. Graveside Service, with Military Honors, will be Monday, July 13th at 12:00 p.m. at Crestview Memory Gardens, with Bro. Julius Hovan officiating. Family Members will honor him as pallbearers. Visitation will be Monday, July 13th from 10:00 a.m. until time to leave for the cemetery, at Family Heritage Funeral Home. Mr. Sturdivant was born April 15, 1950 in Nashville to the late Woodrow Wilson Sturdivant and Mary Elizabeth Duncan Sturdivant. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by son, James “Jimmy” Wilson Sturdivant; and brother, Edward Sturdivant. He is survived by daughters, Amanda Martin (Scott) of Gallatin and Ann Carter Kail (Paul) of Portland; brother, Paul Sturdivant of Gallatin; mother-of-his-children, Carol Sue Sturdivant of Gallatin; and 5 grandchildren, Kimberly Grace Sturdivant, Jonathan Gaige Sturdivant, Cameron Laik Martin, Noah Channing Carter, and Natalie Browyn Carter.
