Please forgive me for the lateness of this message, I’ve been trying to find the words to express my heart felt loss of Marv.
I remember the first time I met Marv, it was at a backyard barbecue when I was in my teens. Your mother introduced him to the family and he became an instant member of the clan. He was funny, friendly and very outgoing. I remember mom and dad talking as we drove home how much they enjoyed getting to know your dad. That was over 60 plus years ago. I enjoyed our conversations over the last few years. He was alway upbeat and joyful. I know the heart pain in your loss, but remember, we are given just so much time on this ball of dirt and water and then we return home to be with those we love for eternity. Death is but a step into the next life. He is with your mother and all the family who stepped through the door before him.
Rejoice in his spirit and be happy in his love for you.

MARVIN WAS MY NEIGHBOR FOR TEN YEARS AND ALWAYS LOVED THE BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS. I REALLY GOT TO KNOW HIM BETTER WHEN I WAS INVITED TO JOIN MARVIN AND HIS FAMILY WHEN WE WOULD PLAY AN EVENING OF CARDS AND GAMES. HE LOVED TO TEASE AND TELL TALES THAT STRETCHED THE TRUTH A BIT. Dear Sharon, Karon and Steve,
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of loss. It is particularly difficult as you all were not able to visit with your dad in the recent months. I am so glad you were allowed in the hospital to say your private good-byes. It means so much! I got to know your dad a bit the last few years. And, I must say, I believe he beat me at cards every time we played! He was always joking and telling funny stories. He was the perfect example of enjoying life, despite ones circumstances. He raised two incredible daughters and left joy in the hearts of many. He will be missed, but remembered fondly.

Dear Sharon, Karon and Steve,
My heart goes out to you at the loss of your Dad. I did not know your Dad very well, but the few times we were together he was always jovial and very friendly. He was so happy these last few years and I understand he had quite a few lady friends at the assisted living facility. He always had a smile on his face and was just a lot of fun.I know you loved him very much
and you snd Steve were so good to him. I know he loved you,Sharon and Karon. He filled the shoes of a kind compassionate man. Your Mom and Dad were such a cute couple and so funny. They made me laugh a lot. May God comfort you at this difficult. I don't anyone who could have taken better care of your Dad. Even through this pandemic you were always doing errands for him, picking up things all the time. You will greatly miss him. Bobby and I think the world of all of you. God Bless and comfort you.

So sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad he was such a kind and loving man!!
We all loved his talks on the phone and his Christmas Cards with the notes to let us know how his life was going and what he was up to. It was so great to hear how happy he was and how much he loved where he lived!!
Our Family will forever have fond and loving memories about Mom and Dad for we knew them for 40 years!! From the minute they moved into the home next door it seemed as if we knew them forever. They were so loving to all of us and treated us like family.
We have so many beautiful and fun memories with them. Too many to count!! The birth of two of the kids,Birthdays,Holidays, Christenings and fun times in the pool!! They were like Grandparents to our children Nick, Michael and Christina!! We missed them when they moved to Tennessee but we always stayed in touch! When they traveled up to Michigan we would always spend time together! Thank you to them for all the love!
So with heavy hearts we are all sending you lots of love and prayers!

Marvin was the life of the party at Wilson Manor! I'm the sister of his special friend Susan! He was so thoughtful and kind to her and everyone there! They spend many times sharing memories of their respective spouses! Sweet story a while back my sister and another lady would watch a movie with Marvin almost every day! I'd kid Susan and say how are Marvin and the Marvettes today!They also put puzzles together! I love that he had a great attitude and sounds like he tried to make everyday a good one! My sister is kind of heartbroken! I'm sure she and everyone there will miss him! He was a special person! It won't be the same without him! Sorry for your Family's loss!

Dear Sweet Sharon and Karen, with the sadness of heart, I send you girls and all the family my deepest condolences. First let me Thank you, for sharing both, your Dad and Mom with me. I will be forever grateful for their friendship and joyous times we all spent together.
Mr. Marvin was a Champion in taking care of Karen and Ms. Shirley.
I always marveled at his attention to every little detail when it came to seeing to everyone's needs and wants. He made everyone feel special, he just had a way of making everything okay!
Mr. Marvin loved a good joke, he loved to hear them but more as not, loved to tell them. He was a prankster to say the least, and got over on me several times! I can see his big smile that always greeted me, and everyone he came into contact with. I marveled always at the love story between him and Shirley. Even in their golden years there was lots of hand holding and love pats, shown both at home and in public, just the Sweetest couple ever! I will miss him, and of course Ms. Shirley always. Thank you again for sharing them with everyone!
Mr. Marvin, in these last few years always amazed me with his jovial, and upbeat personality. Something that you don't always see after a person reaches a certain age. He was a gentleman and loved to enter act with all his friends and their families, while at the Manor. Life to him was " as good as it gets", he would say.
I know and have seen from the many posts, that He will certainly be missed by everyone he touched in his life these last years, of where he was living, and of everyone that knew Marvin in his life.
Please receive all my love, light and prayers as you go through the following days ahead...and always.

Dear Sharon, Karon, Steve, Michael, Nicholas and Daniel,
James and I are so sorry for the loss of your dad, granddad, and great-grandpa. It is hard to believe he is gone.
As I think about my sweet, dear, Uncle Marv, I have so many wonderful memories. I will always be grateful for the delightful times the families of "the three sisters" had together along with Grandma and Dodo. We were lucky families because we lived close together and got to see each other many, many times during every year.
Uncle Marv loved to joke and tease and I enjoyed being the recipient of that, as did all the cousins. When we were young, we loved playing pranks on Uncle Marv as often as we could. He was always a good sport and often times came back with a good prank on us. However, he definitely bested me.
One of my very favorite memories, and Sharon I know you remember this because you were part of it, was in 1973 or 1974. I had started working my first "real" job and my used car started acting up. So I decided with the help of my dad, to go look for a new car. I found a cute, kind of sporty Mercury Comet and bought it. I don't remember the exact sequence, but I think I had the car in my possession and the next day Uncle Marv called me. He started the conversation by saying that he heard I was looking for a car. Then he said that he had a friend who had a Mercury Comet, same year as mine, with only a couple of hundred miles on it. He told me the price and, of course it was many hundreds of dollars less than the one I purchased. I bought it hook, line and sinker. I don't really remember what I said to him, but I was certainly thinking something like, are you kidding me? He didn't keep me on the line too long before he started laughing. He said that Sharon worked for the bank that approved my loan, and she had mentioned it to him when she got home from work. He, of course, ran with it.
In recent years, James and I were so pleased to know that Uncle Marv was so happy and content with his living situation. Anytime we talked, he expressed those positive feelings. He was having fun and truly enjoyed his day to day existence.
Uncle Marv was a very special man, and we will miss him.

We did not know Mr. Mancuso personally but we have had the pleasure of knowing his wonderful daughters,son-in-law and grand child. Since Marvin and Shirley moved to Lebanon with Karen, my family and I have had the treasured experience to become their friends. They became adopted grandparents of sorts to our 8 children, even spending special holiday season celebrations with us, among other ongoing visits, activities, calls and cherished memories. Most impressive to me was to watch Marvin care for Shirley and Karen in his own unique way, even during the most stressful of times and conditions. I watched him change. Although always full of goodness, I watched him become softer, kinder, gentler, more patient and forgiving and understanding of others. This beautiful transition occurred in his eighties. Having worked with the elderly all my life for the past 30 years, as a nursing home administrator, more often I see the opposite, watching many become less patient, forgiving and kind and even become bitter as the harsh conditions of aging, sickness, declining health, loneliness and even death affect so many negatively. Marvin proved differently. He showed me that joy and peace and even personal improvement can happen in ones most advancing years. Marvin found joy and shared it with others freely these past few years and I for one will be forever grateful to have known him, observed his transformation and witnessed his goodness to others. May God bless his family and dear friends with memories of his Wonderful Life.
