Obituary of Nancy Hale Turner

Nancy Turner passed away on October 22, 2020 at age 83. The Funeral Service, conducted by Brother Wallace Alsup, is 3 p.m. Monday, October 26, 2020 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. Interment will follow the service in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers: Jackie Hale, Barry Weakley, Jimmy Weakley, Albert Jr. Williams, Hunter Gibbs, and Evan Hurley. Honorary Pallbearers: Cedar Seniors. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. and Monday from 1 p.m until the service. Mrs. Turner was born in Nashville TN to Frank Edward and Nancy Bogle Hale. She worked as a nurse and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, was involved in Sunday School class, was actively involved with the Cedar Senior’s, the Eastern Star, and was a Red Hatter. She is preceded in death by husband of 57 years, Raymond Turner, grandchildren Ashley South and Haley South, parents Frank and Nancy Hale, siblings Gladys Harrison, T.H. Hale, Jennie Tabbs, Willie Mae Boshers, Donald Hale, Clyde Edward Hale, and Dorothy Lee. She is survived by daughters Vivian (Ed) Hurley, Judy (Jake) Gibbs, and Pamela (Robert) South, grandchildren Meredith (Mike) Holmes, Evan (Ashley) Hurley, Katelyn (Erica) Edinger, Hunter Gibbs, Amanda South, and Amber Barrett, great-grandchildren Nora Mae Holmes, Sylvie Elizabeth Holmes, Kevin Lopez, Nicolas Lopez, and numerous nieces and nephews.
