Obituary of Phyllis Byrd Jones

Phyllis Byrd Jones, age 67 of Gallatin, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020. Funeral Service will be Sunday, January 3rd at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Rev. Gloria Scott officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, January 2nd from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, January 3rd from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Willow Grove Cemetery, with Paul Jones, Phil Jones, Darrell Stewart, Chris Glover, Chase Thomason, and Kendall Cheyne. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cairo United Methodist Church, c/o Pat Harrison, 115 Academy Square, Nashville, TN 37210. Mrs. Jones was born January 28, 1953 in Ogden, UT to the late Franklin Thomas Byrd and Anna Ruth Clemons Byrd Edwards. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Joseph Randall Jones; and step-father, Bobby Edwards. She is survived by daughter, Julie Lucas (Michael) of Spring Hill, TN; brother-in-law, Charles Jones of Gallatin; niece, Casey Thomason (Chase) of Gallatin; nephew, Jason Jones (Auzelle Epeneter) of Los Angeles, CA; and 1 grandson, Matt Lucas. Mrs. Jones worked at the Gallatin Church of Christ Daycare for many years and worked for Gary Manufacturing. Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.
