Obituary of Leether Walton "Walt" Warren

Walt Warren, age 78 of Hendersonville, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021. Funeral Service will be Monday, March 29th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Bro. Mike Corbin officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, March 28th from 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. and Monday, March 29th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with Jeremy Crain, Garrett Foster, Bobby Gammon, Michael Leggett, Colin Ruth, Bobby Flentge, and Mike Shrum serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Monty Hendon and the members of Station Camp Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tennessee Baptist Children’s Homes, 1310 Franklin Road, Brentwood, TN 37027. Leether Walton Warren, known to everyone as “Walt” was born October 10, 1942 in Linden, TN to the late Leether Warren and Louise McAlister Warren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Carolyn Ann Ford Warren; sister, Billie Humbert; and brother, James (Paul) Warren. He is survived by daughter, Tiffany Mapp (Jason) of Hendersonville; daughter-in-love, Candy Venables (Scott) of Gallatin; brothers, Robert “Buddy” Warren (Josie) of Linden, TN and Joe Warren (Ksena) of Senatobia, MS; sisters, Betty Connor of Dickson and Debbie Brunette of Southaven, MS; 1 granddaughter, Natalie Mapp; 5 grandsons-in-love, Austin Venables, Connor Venables, Curtis Lehew, Colin Ruth, and Bobby Flentge; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Warren was a teacher for the Metropolitan Nashville Public School System for many years. He loved the Lord and worked within several areas of ministry.
