Greetings from The United Negro College Fund. Trey was a finalist with strong consideration to be selected (our selection process is occurring now), for our UNCF STEM Scholars Program. Trey's larger-than-life achievements including Eagle Scout, AP Scholar, Governor's School Scholar, exemplified the ideals of academic pursuit and passion that we strive to inculcate into the student's that we support. Most importantly, the kindness and love for God and Jesus shared in these testimonials. We share in your grief and rest in God's warm embrace of your family.
Chales Sr and Emmalene Webster, what an amazing young man you raised in the Lord. You continue to be in prayers as you see his legacy unfold and miss his presence here. May you find comfort and encouragement to go on. There's a sweet song, David's Song, online by Vintage Young, that reminds me of your son now- another youth who preceded his parents into the Presence of heavenly realms.
Holding you and Charles so close in our hearts. We loved you both and Trey was the perfect reflection of the love you both gave and the people you are. He is just broadening that love and looking over you now. We do not know his heavenly purpose but I can only imagine it is an important one. He was called so much earlier than you’d have ever dreamed. Maybe that is because he was meant for bigger things than earth can offer. We will be here for you long after today’s services. Our hearts grieve with you and we celebrate that special, special human that is your son.
We have known your family since the kids were in elementary school together. We watched your involvement in Trey's life from a young age. From volunteering as a chaperone for school events to serving as a scout leader to working with the band and so many more things you made sure to let him know that you loved and cared for him and you were always there. Trey was a very accomplished young man who left his footprint on this community and the world. He was so kind and respectful to his peers and adults. He was the friend every parent wants their child to have. We will truly miss his warm smile and his soft tone. We pray for your wisdom, strength and courage to go on in the coming days. Just know that we are here for you. We love your family!
May God continue to wrap His arms around you, Charles and Em to comfort you. Trey will be missed but will always be with you. Know that Charles and I will be her if you need us. We love you and will continue to pray for and with you. Love you.
Dear Mr. & Mrs. Palmer-Webster,
First, you don't know me, and I don't know you personally, but allow me to extend my sincere and heartfelt condolences to you and your family; my prayers and thoughts are with you during this extremely stressful time in your life. I'm sorry to say that I never met Trey personally until today when I read his obituary, I'm also sure that If I had met him in person, I would have loved him as I do my own grandchildren. I was so moved and impressed by all that he accomplished in his 18 years upon this earth, so much more than many aged people ever hope or dream to accomplish. Reading a real-life story of a young man of Trey's caliber has reignited my hope in the future of all of our children, but especially our young men of color. I am so proud of your son Trey, just as I know that you are also. In the midst of your pain and sorrow, thank you for taking time to publicly share his and your story, for without you, Trey wouldn't have had a story. In time, as your pain lessen, I pray that you would not think of Trey as your loss, but as your gain, for as long as you hold his precious memories alive in your hearts, Trey lives! From one parent to another, I Pray God's Peace upon and within you, and that you will live in God's Peace. God Bless You And Keep You In His Care Is My Fervent Prayer For You Now And Always!
Love Always,
Cloreace W. Eppenger
It was the light of our day when came to volunteer at the library. He was the most accomplished, caring, kind soul I have ever met. We are heart broken and will miss him forever. We have lifted Trey and you his family in prayer and thought for the strength you will need at this time. May peace come to you by remembering the good times and how proud you are of him. It was an honor for us that you shared your son with us, he made all of us better by knowing him.
Diane Johnson, Library Director
I am sorry for your loss. We lost our daughter two months ago so I understand your pain. You guys raised an awesome young man. Remember this, ‘Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal’
Mr. and Mrs. Webster,
My heart is truly broken at the loss of Trey. I have the fondest memories of his sweet smile and loving attitude in the 4th grade. Trey was a model student and someone you would hope for your child to be friends with. He was always respectful and kind to everyone. He had a positive attitude and always saw the best in people. I can’t begin to imagine why Trey has left this Earth so soon, but I have faith that God has a great purpose in all of this. Thank your for sharing your son with us these last 18 years. I know his memory will live on.
All of my love,
Amanda Chapman
Trey always made me smile. No matter what I or he was going through he always found a way to make me and everyone around us smile. It was never a dull moment with him. I’ve known trey since elementary school and I will forever try to make everyone around me smile just for him. He will be missed and loved❤️
I never really spoke to him but I’ve went to school with him since elementary. I remember passing him in the hallways and seeing him volunteer for things at school. From what I saw and heard he was an amazing kid. I pray for you family and hope you have a fun time in heaven.
Hi mr and mrs Webster. I’m sorry about what happened to trey, i know it broke a lot of our hearts. Trey was and is an amazing soul. He could light up a room by just walking in to it. He was always the person to be able to bring a smile to anyone he talked to and he was always there for you. Being able to march with trey in the band of gold and play with him in band was such an amazing thing and memories that I know I’ll be able to have and share. I will deeply miss the great big and famous smile that he has and the heart filling laughter that he shared with us but I know that he’ll be ok. I hope you are doing ok and taking your time. Much love and comfort.
